Facing a health crisis, I had to rely on a medical credit card to afford life-saving treatment for a rare autoimmune disease.

I never thought I would be in this position. At the age of 35, I found myself facing a health crisis that would change the course of my life. It all started with a routine check-up at the doctor's office. I had been feeling more tired than usual and was experiencing unexplained weight loss. The doctor ordered a series of tests, and the results were not what I was expecting. I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease that required immediate and expensive treatment. As a single mother of two young children, I was already living paycheck to paycheck. I knew that I needed to find a way to afford the treatment that was necessary for my survival. That's when I made the decision to take a chance and apply for a medical credit card. It was a risky move, but I had no other options. To my relief, I was approved for the card and was able to start the treatment that would save my life. It was a difficult road, but I am now on the path to recovery and am grateful for the opportunity to see my children grow up. My future truly was riding on a card, and I am thankful for the chance it gave me.
