After noticing uncontrollable trembling in my hands, I was diagnosed with essential tremor and have since been managing it with medication and lifestyle changes.

I remember the first time I noticed my hands trembling uncontrollably. It was a few months ago when I was at work, trying to pour myself a cup of coffee. As I reached for the mug, I couldn't help but notice the slight tremor in my hands. At first, I brushed it off as fatigue or stress, but as the days went by, the trembling only seemed to get worse. It got to the point where I couldn't even hold a pen properly or button up my shirt without struggling. I knew I had to seek help. After consulting with a neurologist, I was diagnosed with essential tremor, a neurological condition that causes involuntary shaking in the hands, head, or voice. The doctor explained that while the exact cause of essential tremor is unknown, it can be exacerbated by stress, caffeine, or fatigue. I was prescribed medication to help manage the tremors, and I also made some lifestyle changes, such as reducing my caffeine intake and practicing stress-reducing activities like yoga and meditation. While the tremors haven't completely disappeared, they have become more manageable, and I am learning to adapt to life with essential tremor.
