A 15-year-old struggling with insomnia due to stress and anxiety finds relief through research and self-care practices.

I'm only 15 years old, but for the past 5-6 days, I have been unable to sleep. It all started when I had a big test coming up at school. I was so stressed about it that I couldn't stop thinking about it, even when I went to bed. I would lie awake for hours, tossing and turning, unable to shut off my racing thoughts. As the days went by, I started to feel more and more exhausted during the day. I couldn't concentrate in class, and I was irritable with my friends and family. I even started to experience physical symptoms like headaches and stomach aches. I knew I needed to do something about it, but I didn't know where to turn. I felt embarrassed to talk to my parents about it, and I didn't want to burden my friends with my problems. I felt completely alone in my struggle. Finally, I decided to do some research on my own. I learned about the importance of creating a bedtime routine and creating a relaxing environment in my bedroom. I also started practicing deep breathing exercises and mindfulness meditation to help calm my mind before bed. Slowly but surely, I started to see improvements. I was able to fall asleep more easily, and I woke up feeling more rested. My grades even started to improve as I was able to concentrate better in class. I'm still working on managing my stress and anxiety, but I'm proud of how far I've come. I want other teenagers who are struggling with insomnia to know that they're not alone, and there are things they can do to help themselves.
