After a series of tests, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland doesn't produce enough of certain crucial hormones. This explained my weight gain, fatigue, and headaches. Additionally, I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which explained my digestive issues. The combination of these two conditions made it challenging for me to maintain a healthy lifestyle and feel my best. I was frustrated and overwhelmed, but I knew I had to take action to improve my health. I started by making significant changes to my diet, cutting out processed foods and incorporating more fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. I also began taking medication to manage my hypothyroidism and sought the help of a therapist to manage the stress and anxiety that often accompanied my health issues.
