I struggled with severe wrist pain, but with medical help and determination, I overcame it and regained mobility.

I have always been an active person, enjoying sports and outdoor activities. However, a few years ago, I started experiencing excruciating pain in my wrist. At first, I thought it was just a minor sprain from playing tennis, but the pain persisted and even worsened over time. I couldn't ignore it any longer and decided to seek medical help. After consulting with a specialist, I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome, a condition that occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the palm of the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. The constant pain and discomfort affected my daily life, making simple tasks like typing on a keyboard or even holding a cup of coffee unbearable. I had to make significant adjustments to my lifestyle, including wearing a wrist brace, attending physical therapy sessions, and modifying my exercise routine. It was a challenging journey, but with perseverance and the support of my healthcare team, I gradually regained strength and mobility in my wrist. Today, I am grateful to say that I have overcome the worst of my wrist pain and can once again enjoy my favorite activities without limitations.
