A woman's struggle with hair loss took a toll on her mental health, but with therapy and support, she learned to accept and embrace her appearance.

As a woman in her mid-30s, I never expected to experience hair loss. It started gradually, but soon I was shedding so much hair that I was afraid to even brush or wash it. I tried to hide it with different hairstyles and hats, but deep down, I was devastated. The constant worry and embarrassment took a toll on my mental health. I felt like I was losing a part of my identity and femininity. I avoided social events and even called in sick to work because I couldn't bear the thought of someone noticing my thinning hair. It wasn't until I sought help from a therapist that I realized the extent of the psychological damage I was experiencing. Through therapy and support from loved ones, I learned to accept and embrace my hair loss. I now focus on self-care and confidence-building activities, and I've come to realize that my worth is not defined by my appearance.
