I never thought I would find myself in a situation where I had to consider an illegal abortion. It was a few years ago, and I was young and naive. I found out I was pregnant, and I wasn't ready to become a mother. I was scared and didn't know where to turn. I didn't have the financial means to seek a safe, legal abortion, so I started looking for alternatives. That's when I stumbled upon the dangerous world of illegal abortions. I found a so-called 'doctor' who claimed he could help me. I was desperate and willing to do anything to end the pregnancy. I went to a shady clinic in a run-down part of town, and the 'procedure' was nothing short of a nightmare. There was no anesthesia, no proper medical equipment, and no follow-up care. I was lucky to survive, but the physical and emotional trauma still haunts me to this day. I share my story in the hope that no one else will have to go through what I did.
