Directions
Step 1
Season the beef with salt and black pepper.
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a large pot and brown the beef on all sides.
Step 3
Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
Step 4
In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
Step 5
Add carrots and potatoes to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Return the beef to the pot and pour in beef broth and red wine.
Step 7
Cover the pot and simmer for 1 hour or until the beef is tender.
Step 8
Serve the braised beef with vegetables hot.
