Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
Step 2
Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Stir until smooth.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture, whisking constantly.
Step 4
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold gently until just combined.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Step 7
Remove from the oven and let cool in the baking dish for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 8
Serve each slice with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of chocolate shavings.
