Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Roll out the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch tart pan.
Step 3
Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove from the skillet and crumble into small pieces.
Step 4
In the same skillet, sauté the onion until softened.
Step 5
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
Step 6
Spread the crumbled bacon and sautéed onion over the pie crust. Sprinkle with grated Gruyere cheese.
Step 7
Pour the egg mixture over the filling.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown.
