Directions
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, and all-purpose flour.
Step 2
Add the calamari rings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the flour mixture.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Step 4
Carefully add the coated calamari rings to the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Step 5
Remove the fried calamari from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Step 6
Serve the Salt & Pepper Calamari hot with lemon wedges or aioli sauce.
